POSITION 1 of 2:

Investment Manager

REDARE Family Office — Position Charter

Entity: REDARE Family Office LLC Structure: Single Family Office (SFO), self-funded through family-private venture liquidity events Mandate: Wealth preservation, capital protection, disciplined growth within risk tolerance AUM Context: $1B+ liquid net worth Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (Principal) and Chief Financial Officer Works independently alongside: Family Office Controller (financial operations/reporting counterpart, not a direct report or manager) FLSA Status: Exempt, full-time Location: On-site preferred, some remote/travel flexibility for diligence and manager visits

Position Summary

The Investment Manager is the senior investment professional responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring the family’s liquid and semi-liquid investment portfolio, in service of a wealth-preservation-first mandate. This role operates independently — it is not embedded inside the accounting/reporting function run by the Controller, and it does not report to the Controller. Instead, it reports directly to the CEO/Principal and the CFO, giving the family a dedicated investment voice that is deliberately separated from financial control and custody functions (a standard governance safeguard in SFOs of this scale).

The Investment Manager is expected to operate with a preservation-of-capital lens first, and a return-seeking lens second — consistent with the family’s stated philosophy of concentrating higher-risk, higher-conviction capital in owned/operated ventures (real estate, media, direct deals) while the professionally managed portfolio is built for downside protection, liquidity, and diversification away from the family’s own operating risk.

Core Responsibilities

1. Portfolio Strategy & Asset Allocation

2. Manager & Fund Due Diligence

3. Direct & Co-Investment Evaluation

4. Risk Management

5. Performance Reporting & Communication

6. Banking, Custody & Execution Coordination

7. Governance & Advisory Support

Deliberate Separation from Controller Function

Compensation Note

For a single family office investment lead at this scale ($1B+ liquid net worth), compensation typically benchmarks in the range of $250K–$450K base, plus a discretionary or performance-linked bonus (often 25–75% of base depending on structure and whether any carried-interest-like incentive is used for direct/co-investments). Compensation trends toward the higher end when the role carries full discretionary authority versus a purely advisory/recommendation mandate, and when the individual is expected to source and originate direct opportunities rather than solely allocate to third-party managers.

Position 2 of 2:

Family Office Controller

REDARE Family Office — Position Charter

Entity: REDARE Family Office LLC Structure: Single Family Office (SFO), self-funded through family-private venture liquidity events Mandate: Wealth preservation, capital protection, multi-generational continuity AUM Context: $1B+ liquid net worth Reports to: Principal / Chief Investment Officer (or COO, if that role exists above Controller) FLSA Status: Exempt, full-time Location: On-site preferred (headquarters-based), some remote flexibility possible

Position Summary

The Family Office Controller is the senior financial operations leader responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all accounting, reporting, treasury, and compliance functions across REDARE Family Office and its affiliated entities. This is a wealth-preservation-first mandate — the Controller’s core job is to protect capital through rigorous financial control, not to originate investment strategy. The role sits at the center of a small, high-trust team and interfaces directly with the Principal, outside counsel, tax advisors, custodians, and fund administrators.

Because REDARE is self-funded from family-private venture proceeds rather than pooled institutional capital, the Controller must be comfortable with concentrated, illiquid, and privately-structured wealth (operating company distributions, real estate, private equity stakes) alongside more traditional liquid portfolio holdings — and must bring order and reporting discipline to that hybrid balance sheet.

Core Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation

2. Accounting Operations

3. Cash & Liquidity Management

4. Investment & Portfolio Accounting

5. Tax Coordination

6. Compliance & Risk Controls

7. Reporting to the Principal & Family

8. Vendor, Banking & Advisor Relationships

9. Systems & Process

Compensation Note

For a single family office at this scale ($1B+ liquid net worth, wealth preservation mandate), Controller-level compensation typically benchmarks in the range of $200K–$350K base, plus discretionary bonus (often 15–30% of base), depending on scope (whether the role also carries CFO-like responsibilities), geography, and whether the office is building out additional staff beneath the Controller. If the role is functioning as the de facto senior financial officer of the entire structure (i.e., no separate CFO), compensation frequently trends toward the top of or above this range.
